Once a year, the Genetic Choir looks intensely into the wonders and pitfalls of working with language in improvised music.
The Edge of Language
6 + 7 July 2019
10:30-17:00 in Amsterdam
Vocal sounds can become words and words can become vocal music, but as a special focus for this year, we will look mainly at the latter: How to deal with existing text as a source of creating improvised music.
How much do we care about the meaning of the words? How much do we allow ourselves to play and break free from all meaning?
Join us in this workshop on 6+7 July, in which we also welcome some guests from Berlin!
