- About the Genetic Choir
Want to explore the wider possibilities of your voice? Find (back) the roots of your own musicality? Are you looking to improvise with other singers, encompassing all styles and genres? Would you like to gain a deeper understanding of the principles of improvisation and instant composition?
Then a Genetic Choir workshop is probably something for you.
The way we work on the musical aspects of the human voice is accessible and challenging for beginners and professionals alike. The training is ankered in an unbiased view on styles or musicality, while at the same time giving fun and clear structures to work from, sharing with each other the ferocious intimacy and joy of singing.
There are different types of workshops each season. Most of them are open to any voice enthousiast, some specialised workshops might ask a certain level of experience. Just ask if you’re not sure whether it’s a workshop for you.
Most workshops are planned together with the singers of the wider Genetic Choir singers pool. This means there is usually a very good mix of experience levels in the work sessions. The first handful of people who inscribe for a workshop are allowed to pay the signifiantly lower ‘pioneer’ price. Read more about inscription, cancelling and pioneering.
